Held for the first time last year, Install:WeHo returns with an exploration of what it means to be a ‘Good Queer’. In this one day exploration of visual and performance art, queer artists create installations in shipping pods/U-Hauls that appear overnight in the El Tovar Parking lot, forming a one-day temporary pop-up queer arts village, complete with a performance stage curated by Apt 3F on a flatbed truck.

Inspired by Sunset Boulevard, Valley of the Dolls, Dreamgirls, drag queens, Diana Ross, African storytelling and his own unique experience of selling products on live television, Dale Guy Madison tells a humorous interactive story through spoken word, songs, stories and video footage of his life.

drkrm is pleased to present the male physique photography of John Palatinus, one of the pioneering physique photographers of the 1950′s. Along with Lon of New York, Bruce of Los Angeles, and Bob Mizer of Athletic Model Guild, he helped create a whole new genre of male photography. He was a major influence on Robert Mapplethorpe and may be one of the last living photographers from the 1950′s golden era of physique photography. This exhibition will be on view from June 8th through June 29th, 2013 with an Artist reception on Saturday, June 8 from 7-10pm.
